For Julien, it's more than a tree house

It's the place where joy begins again.

Twelve months ago, 7-year-old Julien was in the fight of his life against leukemia.  Endless trips to the hospital for treatment left him despondent, with little energy for play. 

When Julien learned that he could make a wish, he was charged with renewed energy.  With crayon in hand, Julien began to create the tree house of his dreams.  His cancer seemed a world away.

A wish fulfilled

The flat-bed truck rumbled down Julien's street, carrying the bright red tree house.  With uncontainable excitement, he followed the hammering of each nail as his larger than life wish came closer to reality.

When Julien steps inside the hollowed tree trunk, he is not the boy with cancer.  He is king of his domain.  He gets to make his own decisions, like where to hang his list of "Tree House Rules."  Rule #1 says it all:  "You must have fun!"

For Julien, it's more than a tree house.  It is a spirit-lifting retreat from his illness -- and the place where life-changing joy is created!
