.bmp) After months of tiring treatment for spinal cord tumors, the sparkle returned to 7-year-old Maeve’s eyes when she learned she could make a wish.The spunky girl (known as “Maeve the Brave” for her courage during illness) has a fondness for the high seas. She wished to set sail on a Caribbean cruise! Maeve was awestruck when she first set eyes upon the majestic Freedom of the Seas. She delighted in the chance to zip down waterslides and play mini-golf while floating in the ocean. During shore excursions, she was overjoyed to meet real dolphins. Her illness felt a world away. When asked to describe the highlight of her wish, Maeve flashed her trademark grin and exclaimed, “The best part was…I don’t even know where to begin!
