A LEGO wish for Charlie

On any given day, you might find six-year-old Charlie sitting on the floor crafting his latest creation out of LEGOs.  When diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic lymphoma (ALL), Charlie used the colorful building blocks to help distract him from the numerous trips to the hospital for treatment. 

When hearing that his wish to visit LEGOLAND® in San Diego, California, was being granted, Charlie was overjoyed and could only imagine the amazing LEGO creations that awaited him.  Upon arriving, Charlie raced around the park enjoying all of the rides it offered before heading into Miniland USA – a collection of LEGO art exhibits ranging from seven different cities in the United States to a replica of Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting…all made out of LEGOs, of course!

Before his wish adventure was over, Charlie also visited the San Diego Zoo and toured the city of San Diego.  In the end, a wish of a million LEGOs was worth a million smiles for this special boy.
