When the runners of “Team Make-A-Wish” crossed the finish line, their seven-mile trek ended – and the journeys of two wish children began. On Sunday, August 9th, 17 individuals laced their running shoes to support children’s wishes, by participating in the 37th Annual CIGNA Falmouth Road Race. But the journey of Team Make-A-Wish began long before race day. Each runner championed the Foundation’s mission to family and friends, collecting over $13,000 in donations. “We are proud to benefit from the determination and enthusiasm of Team Make-A-Wish,” said Charlotte Beattie, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation. “The runners carried the dreams of two children on their shoulders, raising funds and awareness every step of the race.” Team Make-A-Wish’s road to race day will fully fund two children’s wishes – leading them on their own journeys to joy. The Foundation warmly thanks the dedicated members of Team Make-A-Wish.
