Wish child Francesca shares story at Swing for Wishes

When a baby girl named Francesca was born in 2001, an event called Swing for Wishes was also a “newborn” in Central Massachusetts, just beginning its decade of support for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Today, Francesca is one of nearly 100 Worcester-area children whose wishes have been funded by the annual golf tournament. She and the tournament have come a long way over the years – Francesca has bravely battled a brain tumor and over the past ten years Swing for Wishes has raised $500,000 for children’s wishes. On Monday, May 24, 2010, Francesca shared her story while attending the 10th Annual Swing for Wishes at Hopkinton Country Club.
