Wish child meets Jason Mraz

 

When Katie learned that she could express a wish, she asked to meet the singer/song-writer on tour. Katie battles cystic fibrosis, a progressively debilitating disease. Although every day is a challenge, Katie finds strength in Mraz’s lyrics and life choices. Mraz is not only a celebrated musician, but also a strong advocate for healthy eating. As Katie sweetly noted, he has “a beautiful voice and an avocado farm!”

 

Katie’s “wish day” began with a limo ride to the concert venue, where she and her family were invited to visit Mraz’s personal trailer before the show. Katie met Mraz, his band, and the crew – including his chef, Tricia, who shared cooking tips with Katie’s mostly-vegetarian family!

 

During the concert, Mraz played all of Katie’s requested songs. Mraz even dedicated a special song to his courageous fan, telling the audience, “This one’s for Katie.” With stars in her eyes and hope in her heart, Katie’s one true wish was fulfilled.
