Maria’s Shopping Spree Wish

Peering through store windows on her wish day, Maria’s excitement bubbles over. For this young woman who is undergoing treatment for kidney disease, the granting of her wish is the gift Maria needs to lift her spirits and fill her with abundant joy. Maria feels every bit the glamour girl as her wish for a shopping spree at the Natick Mall is fulfilled on her birthday. With exclusive access to Macy’s before it opens, she steps inside and “Happy Birthday” fills the air as Macy’s employees serenade her. The warm welcome is complete with cake, balloons, and a special poster signed by the staff. Maria is treated to a mini-makeover in the beauty department, her own dressing room full of clothing and jewelry selected just for her, and personal shoppers catering to her every request. She smiles widely as she proudly models clothing for her parents and sister and decides on her purchases. Maria and her family continue her special thirteenth birthday with lunch and more shopping at her favorite stores, including Build-A-Bear
Workshop and Justice. At Justice, Maria is presented with a generous gift card, which she happily uses for new clothing and accessories, as well as gifts from the staff. With cake at every stop and cameras flashing, Maria walks through the mall with a new spring in her step. As the day winds down, she climbs into a limousine with shopping bags overflowing, returning home to relish her new purchases and savor the sweet memories of her wish come true.
