Dreaming of meeting her favorite characters from her books and movies, four-year-old Caitlin wished to visit Walt Disney World® Resort!
A liver transplant recipient, Caitlin has faced multiple complications as a result of the transplant. “She’s been sick so much, she appreciates what it means to feel good,” says her mom. “She’s a very outgoing, happy child and has a real love of life.”
Her love of life was evident every day of Caitlin’s wish trip. Striking up conversations and playing games with her favorite characters in the Disney theme parks, her exuberant energy put smiles on the faces of her family and passersby. Caitlin went on many rides and explored everything she could, often breaking out in spontaneous dance as her excitement bubbled over.
At Give Kids the World Village, the whimsical resort where she and her family stayed, Caitlin went trick or treating, played on a life-size Candy Land playground, and even sang Jingle Bells to Santa! “Caitlin felt so special,” says her mom. “Everyone was so friendly and no detail was left undone. It was amazing!”
Back at home, Caitlin continues to relive her favorite moments from her wish experience. “Shhh! I want to talk about my trip!” she often exclaims as adults around her are in conversation. For Caitlin, her wish to visit Walt Disney World® Resort brought her infinite joy that continues to fill her days with smiles and laughter!
