He may be only 3 years old, but Fernando has some very specific hobbies – dancing to reggae music, playing with dogs, and watching Mickey Mouse cartoons! Diagnosed with leukemia, the pint-sized boy from Methuen wished to meet Mickey at the most magical of places: Disney World. At the Magic Kingdom, Fernando squealed with delight when he met the famous big-eared mouse. After meeting Mickey, Fernando bounced from ride to ride. He was especially tickled by the carousel with its vibrant horses and lively music. As Fernando “galloped” away on his blue pony, his family treasured the moment – their brave boy riding free from the restrictions of his illness, brimming with joy.
