 For one sunny winter day, Boston Harbor became a wish wonderland, as the Foundation hosted its 11th Annual Winter Wish Cruise. With the partnership of the Odyssey and the Spirit of Boston, the Cruise welcomed aboard children whose wishes were granted during our 2007 program year, as well as their families. Over 100 wish families attended. The two ships brimmed with magical flourishes, including appearances by Elmo and Cinderella, magicians and face painters, family photo opportunities, and a rocking dance party! Beyond these activities, the Cruise offered a unique opportunity for families coping with serious illness to meet and share their experiences. “Our Winter Wish Cruise gives our children the chance to experience a little extra magic after their wishes are fulfilled,” said Charlotte Beattie, Chief Executive Officer. “We thank the Odyssey and the Spirit of Boston for donating their ships and time to create this memorable day for our wish families." |
