Nearly 75% of our children’s wishes involve air travel, making airfare the most significant cost of our wish-granting program. By donating your unused airline miles to Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island through our Wishes in Flight® program, you will help to fulfill a travel-related wish and send a seriously ill child soaring to joy!
Three ways to donate your miles
Tax Deductibility The IRS recognizes frequent flier miles as a gift or as an award from the corporation to the individual; therefore, miles donated to charity are not considered tax deductible.
Please note that some airlines require you to donate a minimum number of airline miles. United requires a 500 mile minimum; Delta requires a 1,000 mile minimum; and US Airways requires a 1,000 mile minimum.
